Dementia Unit Policy and Procedures

The NCCDP has developed extensive policies and procedures for the management of Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Units. This is only available through the CDCM certification seminar. See certification and CDCM Certified Dementia Care Manager.

CDCM certification is recommended for Dementia Unit Managers who oversee Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care locked units, in assisted living communities or nursing homes, which NCCDP refers to as memory care neighborhoods. This is a three-hour conference call to review the Memory Care Neighborhood Policy and Procedure Manual. The CADDCT seminar is required.
