Virginia
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH), through its Brain Health Virginia initiative, has promoted NCCDP’s flagship training program. VDH hosted an event titled “Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar: Path to CDP,” indicating that attending this seminar puts participants on the path to obtaining Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) status through NCCDP
Florida
NCCDP’s Curriculum and Director of Education, Denise Scruggs, have been approved in Florida for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) training requirements.
Arizona
Several NCCDP trainers have been approved to train in Arizona using the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Curriculum and Arizona addendum.
Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services (DHS) Cites NCCDP in the resource list (“Activity Ideas for Alzheimer’s/Dementia Residents”), positioning NCCDP materials as tools for providers and caregivers statewide.
Kansas
The Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman highlights NCCDP’s Alzheimer’s & Dementia Staff Education Week Toolkit as a free, annual staff-training resource, with a link to NCCDP. ombudsman.ks.gov
Connecticut
Department of Public Health RFP (ADRD Training 2024-0908) explicitly names National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners training for health care/frontline staff.
South Carolina
