There are two ways to register.

Goals and Objectives of the Course
- To deliver essential instruction on dementia and its care.
- To enhance the quality of life of dementia patients through educating care providers.
- To cultivate empathy and regard for clients affected by dementia.
- To teach effective communication strategies.
- To offer sensitive methods for aiding patients in daily activities.
- Participants will acquire knowledge about dementia.
- Recognize typical triggers for hostile, sundowning, and repeated behaviors in elderly individuals.
- Explain behavioral and care strategies that can be employed to prevent, diminish, or eliminate difficult care situations.
- Describe challenges related to caregiver stress and utilize stress reduction techniques.
- Learn alternative activity interventions that are success-oriented and failure-free.
- Receive a certificate of attendance at the seminar

Our Corporate ADDC seminars are approved for the following CEUs:
- 7 Nab Credits
- 7 CEUs for NCCAP certifications
- 7 CEUs for nurses in most states via The CEU Network
- 7 CEUs for NCCDP certifications
If attending an ADDC seminar taught by an Approved Trainer, please check with that Trainer to see if their seminar is approved for CEUs.
Instructors
Lynn Biot-Gordon, MSW CDP CADDCT CDCM CFRDT CDSGF is a Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree. She maintains a private practice and is a consultant for long term care facilities which includes in-services on a variety of topics for residents, families, and health care staff. She is the founder of Gordon Social Work Consultants, the NCCDP, and ICCDP. Lynn is the Co-Founder and founder of NCCDP and ICCDP.

Registration Information
The tuition is $195.00 per person. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration. Once payment is received, you are enrolled unless otherwise notified. NCCDP retains the authority to call off seminars due to inadequate registration. Participants requiring cancellation must submit written notice to NCCDP at least one week before the scheduled seminar date.Refunds for cancellations will be granted after deducting a $75.00 administrative fee. Nonpayment of necessary fees will result in the cancellation of issued Continuing Education credits.
Cancellation Policy
IF NCCDP CANCELS THE CLASS:
The NCCDP reserves the right to cancel seminars due to insufficient enrollment, travel delays due to weather or other conditions, illness, injury, or any other unforeseen circumstance and will not be held liable for student’s time lost or travel costs. You will be notified as soon as possible prior to the start of the seminar if the seminar is canceled. We will assist you in rescheduling to attend another seminar.
IF YOU CANCEL:
If you must cancel, please email nccdpoffice@nccdp.org. A cancellation fee of $75.00 per person applies. No refunds will be issued once the seminar has commenced. If you paid via check, the refund will be processed and mailed to you within 60 days. If you paid via credit card, the refund will be processed through your credit card within two weeks of the seminar.
