Care Dimensions Sets the Standard: A Bold Commitment to Dementia Care Excellence

Care Dimensions, a non-profit provider of hospice, palliative care, HomeMD primary care at home, and Dementia GUIDE services, is demonstrating what true leadership in dementia care looks like.

At NCCDP, we are always inspired by organizations that don’t just talk about elevating dementia care — they take decisive action. Care Dimensions is doing exactly that.

With a clear vision and strong leadership commitment, Care Dimensions has invested in training multiple team members to become Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainers (CADDCT). This strategic step allows them to bring dementia education directly into their organization, creating sustainability, consistency, and long-term culture change from within. But they didn’t stop there.

Care Dimensions has developed and is actively executing a comprehensive plan to ensure their frontline caregiving staff are equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to provide exceptional dementia care. Their goal is ambitious and inspiring: to have 500 frontline caregiving staff members certified as CDPs by the end of this calendar year.

This initiative reflects more than a training requirement — it represents a philosophy.

Leadership at Care Dimensions recognizes that high-quality dementia education directly impacts:

  • Quality of care and outcomes
  • Staff confidence, engagement, and retention
  • Family satisfaction and trust
  • Operational consistency and survey readiness
  • Overall organizational performance

By prioritizing dementia-specific education, they are strengthening not only the care experience for individuals living with dementia, but also the stability and reputation of their organization.

In addition to their certification goals, Care Dimensions is aiming to become part of NCCDP’s Memory Care Excellence Network, earning the Seal of Excellence in Dementia Care. This distinction reflects organizations that go beyond basic compliance and demonstrate a deep, measurable commitment to dementia care standards, staff education, and person-centered practices.

Their pursuit of the Seal of Excellence signals to families, referral sources, and the broader healthcare community that dementia care is not just a service line — it is a core competency.

Care Dimensions is serving as a catalyst in helping NCCDP set the standard of dementia care across the country. Their structured rollout plan, measurable goals, and leadership-driven approach demonstrate what is possible when education becomes embedded into organizational culture.

Investing in certification sends a powerful message to staff: You matter. Your professional growth matters. The care you provide matters. When frontline teams feel supported and educated, they are better equipped to recognize dementia-related behaviors as communication, reduce avoidable challenges, and create meaningful daily engagement.

We are proud to partner with Care Dimensions and look forward to celebrating their continued progress toward 500 CDPs, achieving the Seal of Excellence, and continuing to lead by example.

Their work reminds us all: when organizations invest in their people and commit to excellence, they don’t just improve care within their walls — they help raise the standard nationwide
